Thematic Workshop on Materials for Energy Harvesting & Storage Green energy is due to take a formidable share in near future, drawing momentum from sustainable materials research during the last decades. Beyond wind energy there is a mix of green energy vectors that rely heavily on advance materials research, including bulk materials, nanostructures and thin films. While sustained efforts are made to boost the share of green energy to 40% in the next decade the issue of energy storage is still to be solved. Beyond standard techniques materials research is also at the forefront to address this issue. The 5th SM&S will focus on state-of-the art and advances in materials for energy harvesting and storage. Specific sessions will be dedicated to following topics: |
